OCI’s Network Planning organization is responsible for capacity management and planning across all of OCI’s network infrastructure. The development team supporting this organization builds data collection, modeling, and reporting tools to effectively monitor and manage the OCI cloud network’s capacity. A successful candidate in this role will have experience with network capacity tooling and an understanding of network capacity and network capacity management.

This role will work with developers and data scientists to expand the tool at OCI , and create additional modeling to support the capacity planning teams. This role will work directly with those teams for input on improvements, but also work proactively to design and create solutions to support the business.

Networking experience is a hard requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

Required experience:

+ Python

+ Relational & Timeseries DBs

+ Networking experience (backbone, internet, dwdm)

+ Networking experience (understanding of BGP , OSPF , MPLS / RSVP -TE)

+ Prior capacity management/network management tooling

+ Grafana or similar graphical presentation tools

+ 5+ years in management

+ Experience with cloud service offerings to accomplish data collection and modeling

Preferred experience:

+ Cloud network management

+ Time series & forecast

+ Prior experience building failure & capacity modeling tools

US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
