Description
The Staff Applications Specialist will develop and advance software technology and tools in the Energy Global Practice. This position will work with the Project Delivery team throughout the development and implementation process according to organization budget constraints and internal and external client needs.
Duties:
Develop solutions for applications, reports and dashboards for internal and external clients, including model-driven apps, canvas apps, and portal apps.
Develop solutions specific to reporting platforms offered throughout the organization, including Microsoft Power Apps, including Power Bi and SharePoint.
Develop solutions and provide configuration services for the Document Locator application.
Configure security and automation flow routines within applications.
Research and compile new software applications to support project delivery and data management initiatives.
Interpret technology and software direction to support all markets within the Energy Global Practice.
Compile information from disciplines and different business units to develop software and technology that will optimize business processes and deliverables, provide seamless integration, and improve data management.
Adhere to and responsible for compliance with Burns & McDonnell Safety and Quality Control programs.
Ensure compliance with company and customer policies.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related degree.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Consulting experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industries preferred.
Software development and programming experience required.
Understanding of software and hardware system architecture.
Excellent analytical skills.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
