11. Pipe Welder

 Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring skilled Pipe Welders for multiple positions in the US. Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

• Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW (Shielded metal arc) process.
• Ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, Inconel 600, copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) processes.
• Ability to mirror weld using the SMAW and GTAW processes.
• Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch.
• Experience working in physically demanding environments (shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.). 
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry. 
• Ability to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale.

Weld Test Requirements:

• Carbon steel butt weld and Inconel 600 butt weld.
• Each test will be with EB ring 6g position 1.315” pipe .179 wall thickness.
• 2 carbon steel and 2 Inconel 1/2 “socket welds. 
• Each test will be given in a horizontal and an overhead position for each metal. 
• No test can have over a 5 percent draw after welding. 
• X-ray tested on butt welds.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

• Minimum of five years Commercial/Nuclear/Naval welding experience
• All positions using the SMAW and GTAW processes. 
• Thin wall sockets (Required for below 0.187 wall joints). 

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Practical skills, other medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements

Heaving lifting up to 75lbs, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, crawling, confined space work, hot work, extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure

Citizenship/ Work Authorization Requirements

1. Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address

Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)

1. U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted
2. Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
3. U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization
4. A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship
