1307 - SMWDC Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Ops SME

Sigma Defense is seeking a former Surface Warfare Officer or Chief Petty Officer with extensive Air and Missile Defense experience for a position on our Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) Team in San Diego, CA as an Integrated Air and Missile (IAMD) Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME).

The idea candidate is a former Surface Warfare Officer or Senior enlisted (OS, FC), with a minimum of 10 years in the Air Defense/Ballistic Missile Defenses (AD/BMD) mission area, who is a qualified Tactical Action Officer or BMD Watch Officer (minimum of 3 years of experience).

We need the rare skill sets you have developed throughout your Naval Career to support the integrated air and missile defense mission areas, enhancing warfighting readiness, and increasing the lethality and tactical proficiency of the Surface Force. In this position you will support SMWDC Headquarters and make direct contributions to the enhancement of warfare training.

• At minimum 10 years of experience in the AD/BMD Mission area.
• At minimum of 5 years of experience must have been served onboard an AEGIS DDG or CG.
• Must have Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Command, Systems Testing Command or similar military organization planning experience.
• Must be qualified and experienced in watch station with the authority to employ the AEGIS Weapon System (i.e., Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC).
• Must possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience as a WTI (IAMD) qualified officer preferred. Aviation Officer Qualification is acceptable.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 annually.
