Description

Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring Sheetmetal Mechanics for multiple sites in the US. If you are a hardworking person who possesses the skills and ability to perform the job as outlined below, we would love to hear from you!

Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings with basic mathematical skills.
  • Use company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures and shop machinery to complete work assignments.
  • Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all light gage metalwork which includes air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, prefabricated bulkheads, doors, furniture, and Formica.
  • Perform joiner work, fabricate non-structural bulkhead doors and stainless-steel trim.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED; additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs.
  • Experience or training in Sheetmetal/metal fabrication, preferred.
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, or a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Previous Military/Navy or Nuclear shipbuilding, automotive/autobody, or HVAC experience a plus.
  • Must be available to work all shifts.
  • Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
  • Carries out daily responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, client/ site-owner policies, and applicable laws.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals.

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Practical skills, other medical, psychological (as required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical work effort expected is demanding. The temperature and humidity extremes that may be encountered are the result of ambient temperature and humidity levels in the work area
  • Heaving lifting up to 75lbs, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, crawling, confined space work, hot work, extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include but are not limited to close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision.

Citizenship/ Work Authorization Requirements:

  • Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address

Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)

  • U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
  • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization
  • A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship
