1ST Assistant Store Manager (Floater)

Job Summary

The First Assistant Store Manager (1st ASM) – Floater is a leadership development role for experienced, fully certified Assistant Store Managers preparing for advancement to Store Manager. This position provides leadership coverage across multiple store locations and serves as the acting Store Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable. The 1st ASM leads store operations, supports team development, reinforces company standards, and ensures a consistent customer experience. This is a floating position with no permanent home store and requires travel between assigned locations. A flexible schedule is required, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotational assignments. Schedules are typically provided two weeks in advance.

Location: Owensboro, KY and surrounding area

Pay: $21.00 hourly

Schedule: Must be available for multiple shifts

Start date: Immediately

Responsibilities:

In addition to standard Assistant Store Manager responsibilities, the 1st ASM will:

• Serve as acting Store Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Lead daily store operations and provide direction to team members.
• Maintain accountability for operational, customer service, food service, and brand standards are followed.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and support advancement.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
• Drive company initiatives, including Rewards Program participation.
• Provide leadership coverage and operational support across assigned district locations.
• Quickly adapt to different store teams, business needs, and operating environments.

Essential Requirements:

• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel between store locations with reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing store locations, teams, and operational needs.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and compliance 

• Certified Assistant Store Manager with all three certification phases completed.
• Passing written/practical exams and Leadership Review Panel.
• Minimum 85% ASM Scorecard for 3 consecutive months with no active corrective action.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification within 30 days of promotion.
• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.

Preferred:

• Multi-store or floater leadership experience.
• Proven success in store operations and team development.
