General Laborer: Monroe, WI
Our customer in Monroe, Wisconsin is seeking to fill General Laborer positions. As a general laborer you would be responsible for assisting in packaging and production duties.
General Laborer Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain operation of designated packaging line including set up, change over and take down of equipment.
- Review packaging schedule to understand what is needed for set up of the line each day.
- Communicate with respect to safety of production along with meeting customer specifications.
- Must be able to use various types of equipment to run the line.
- Operation of and certification for forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Strict adherence to GMPs; Keep area clean.
- Strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols and procedures; reporting unsafe conditions to plant management.
- Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork.
- Assist in Brine and Panela form cleaning and handling.
- Monitor Metal Detector checks and verifications.
- Verify product specifications such as code dates, labels etc.
Qualifications for General Laborer:
- Strong listening skills and ask questions to understand instructions for work-related activities.
- Takes initiative to complete tasks along with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, with moderate noise and working with chemicals
Pay for General Laborer: $17.91/hour plus shift differentials.
