1st shift- Inserter Operator

Description

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Operate machinery according to instructions and in a safe manner. Able to make slight adjustment to machinery (envelope folding plates).

Maintain a clean and neat work area.

For Each Commercial Work-Order:

- Gather trays and/or sleeves and insure there are enough empty mail cages prior to starting job.

- Change postage meter cartridge when necessary.

- Check counts a least twice per tray.

- Fan for defects, insuring the following:

A) Correct date.

B) Proper sealing

C) Bar codes appears through all window envelopes.

D) Correct postage rate.

E) No blanks or missing postage mark.

- Stop machine if there are any problems.

- Make sure postal trays are marked as needed.

Requirements

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Willing to train the right individual.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
