Job Description - 1st shift MM Prod Supervisor

Description

 

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead the start-up and daily operations of our new Boba production line. This is a key leadership role responsible for building and guiding a high-performing team, ensuring production goals are met, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and motivator who thrives in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Lead daily Boba line production activities to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals 
  •  Schedule and coordinate work activities within the production line and with other departments to meet or adjust to production demands 
  • Train, develop, evaluate, and discipline production staff, addressing day-to-day personnel issues and promoting team growth 
  • Ensure full staffing and efficient operation of assigned areas, making real-time adjustments as needed 
  • Monitor and communicate production issues clearly between shifts and with management, including safety incidents, waste, and downtime 
  •  Observe, support, and participate in the set-up and operation of all Boba production equipment; troubleshoot and assist with repairs when necessary 
  • Enforce all company policies, safety rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) 
  • Recommend and support improvements in production processes, equipment, and quality 
  •  Maintain accurate production records and shift documentation 
  • Participate in leadership meetings and cross-functional collaboration 
  •  Step in and assist on the production floor as needed to maintain workflow 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives 

Non-Essential Job Functions: 

  • Guide the machine operators and assist them in operating equipment such as the mixers, rotary, oven, grinder, sifters/screens, printers, scales, also with the individual packaging machines and wrappers. 
  • Minimizing department hours and overtime 

Requirements

 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED required.  
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within food or beverage manufacturing 
  • Solid knowledge of production processes, equipment operations, safety, and sanitation standards 
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills 
  • Ability to identify and resolve equipment or staffing issues quickly 
  • Effective communicator with strong documentation and reporting skills 
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment 
  • Basic computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office, production software) 
  • Flexible schedule availability, including occasional weekends or overtime
