The Warehouse Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, maintaining, handling, repackaging and shipping materials within the warehouse according to written work instructions.

Warehouse Tech 14A Sequencer 1st Shift

Jeffersonville, IN

Position Purpose

To ensure that all parts are being verified and scanned to be placed in correct sequential slots while placing them into their respective slots. This is a highly physical position that requires the team member to repetitively lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. The team member will also be navigating up and down the various lines while moving a heavy cart. 

Responsibilities

• Adherence to safety principles at all times
• Know and follow standard work procedures and safety rules for all tasks assigned
• Use of Radio Frequency (RF) scanner to process pick list
• Communicate with the team leader/forklift operator regarding any missed parts/unreadable labels
• Verify that all totes or containers are empty before moving to the next tote
• Verify that all parts are being staged/picked in the location correctly while adhering customer identification labels to each harness for picking accuracy
• Make visual quality checks of parts and packaging while sequencing

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong basic mathematical skills
• Willing and able to meet the work schedule requirements of the job, as well as overtime as needed

Other Requirements

• Must be able to frequently walk around a warehouse floor
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis as well as pull carts repeatedly 
• High Physical Demand Work Environment
• This job operates in a warehouse environment that is subject to a wide range of temperatures from cold to very warm
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Bending and/or reaching is required
• Personal Protective Equipment (high visibility) must be worn at all times while on Shop Floor to prevent injury to self or others
