1st Shift Wash/Deburr/Passivation

Description

Carolina Precision Technologies is a contract manufacturer specializing in small diameter, close tolerance machined part, located in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will be hard working, and team oriented while keeping on task with minimal direct supervision; must have great attention to detail, and a willing to follow directions to the letter. Duties will include dimensional inspections of machined parts using inspection equipment, visual inspections of machined parts with or without magnification. Use of calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges are preferred. SPC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Wash and deburr parts made of various materials

· Process parts through tumbling process

· Inspect part for burrs, chip wrap, chip impressions, short parts, missing or malformed features

· Dimensional inspections using hand-held inspection equipment

· Sort for non-conforming product

· Count and package parts

· Clean the soap and water washer and mineral spirits washer equipment

· Complete passivation process for identified products

· Trains new employees on wash/deburr policy and procedures

· Understand and practice quality system preferences and applicable documentation

· Follow established procedures and practices to ensure all preferences are met

· Read, write, and understand instructions in English

· Must be able to work independently

· All other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

· Attention to detail

· Fine motor skills

· Critical thinking

· Use of calipers, micrometers, go/no go gauges, and additional hand-held measuring devices

· Introductory computing including Microsoft Excel

· Ability to read blueprints preferred

· Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace

· Some experience or related training preferred

· High school diploma or GED

· SPC experience is a plus

Ability to work: 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 1:00 am, Monday through Friday
