Must Have Education & Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, life sciences, behavioral sciences, or communication with a minimum GPA of 3.3
• Must have an interest in pursuing a career in Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals
• Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines

2.5 Month Contract

Sanford, NC

PR: $20-24/hour for BS students, $24-28/hour for MS students

Job Summary

This internship reports into the T&M Sanford Technology Center Quality Training department, supporting the functions responsible to produce life-altering gene therapies. Our team leads a culture of ongoing learning and adherence to compliance standards throughout the organization via management of a comprehensive GMP training program. Department responsibilities including development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality training content employed in educating employees on the industry regulations, safety practices, and the methodologies and technologies involved in the production of innovative biological products. This tight-knit team of dedicated Training professionals fosters an environment of collaboration and fun in a traditional office setting, maintaining positive working relationships with their peers and customers in functional areas across the facility to ensure all site personnel are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for success.

Job Responsibilities

The Quality Training Intern will learn about the importance of training in the Biotechnology industry as a key factor in ensuring personnel qualification, working as an integral part of the team by supporting critical daily tasks and activities and assisting with the identification of innovative ways to improve the training experience and overall training effectiveness at the T&M Sanford Technology Center.

Intern Job Responsibilities/Deliverables

The Quality Training Intern will engage in learning about Astellas and the therapies we provide, along with an overview of the expectations and requirements of all personnel in the Biotechnology industry. The intern will be expected to undertake a summer-long project, as determined by the group, with the understanding that there will be planning, execution, and reporting required for the project. The project will involve working across functional areas and requires good communication and organizational skills.
