2024-2025 Special Education Teachers-Shelby, NC - Urgent Position

Blazerjobs is actively seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join the Shelby, NC School District. We have multiple full-time positions available, each offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs in middle and high school resource classroom settings.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support in academic and functional skill areas.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of all students.
• Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a resource classroom setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
• Effective munication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
