2025 Packingshed Seasonal Employment

We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team at our packing sheds for our 2025 stone fruit operation. The Packing Shed Worker will assist in the sorting, grading, packing, transporting, loading, and preparation of stone fruits for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and grade stone fruits (e.g., peaches, plums, cherries, blueberries) based on size, color, and quality standards.
• Pack fruit into boxes, crates, or other packaging in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Inspect fruit for defects, bruising, or damage, ensuring only the highest quality fruit is packed.
• Maintain a clean and organized packing area, following hygiene and safety protocols.
• Assist with the operation of packing machinery (if applicable), ensuring proper handling and operation.
• Monitor fruit ripeness and temperature to ensure optimal packing conditions.
• Report any issues with packing machinery or fruit quality to the supervisor.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and company policies.

• No prior experience required but preferred; training will be provided.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and individually.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes as needed.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
