Position Description: The Instructional Paraprofessional provides assistance to teachers with in-person instruction, organization, and management strategies. The Instructional Paraprofessional is responsible for reinforcing strategies that support curriculum by performing a variety of duties associated with the supervision of students as they are involved in various school activities. Specific assignments will vary from program to program depending on the job assignment; duties may include small group instruction in academic areas, lunchroom supervision, noon recreation/recess supervision, in-school suspension, and/or playground monitoring.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Kindezi School Instructional Para supports the ongoing maintenance of a positive, safe, and productive school environment by engaging as needed in the building in the following capacities.
Academic and Social-Emotional Support
Collaborate with general education and/or special education teachers at assigned grade level(s) or classroom to plan for and provide small group or individualized academic interventions to lower elementary students in accordance with interventions from the RTI/504 Coordinator and/or the supervising teacher’s lesson plans;
Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students in accordance with the prescribed phonics program;
Administer benchmark assessments to determine student growth;
Collect progress monitoring and SST data for assigned students, under the supervision of the student’s general education teacher or the SST Coordinator.
Provide interventions at all tiers to support with MTSS
Assist teachers with classroom organization, management and instructional strategies.
Assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials (student copies, boards, wall materials) as it relates to daily lesson plan
Forms positive relationships and provides behavioral support to build socio-emotional skills
Professionalism, Communication, and Collaboration
Support and manage dismissal, meals, and other school functions that require student supervision
Work collaboratively with school staff to support student holistic growth
Form positive relationships with geniuses

QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a United States citizen or otherwise have authorization to work in the United States
An Associate’s Degree or higher in any subject completed at an accredited institution. OR Two years of college coursework (60 semester hours or more) earned at an accredited college or university. OR A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and passing scores on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test.

Compensation aligned with The Kindezi Schools’ Salary schedule
