Come be a part of our mission!\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer based at our Salt Lake City, UT campus.\n\nThe Manufacturing Engineering will join the Advanced Electronics and Avionics Manufacturing Engineering Team and will develop and maintain technical solutions for the manufacturing of circuit card assemblies and program inspection of circuit card assemblies using an automated optical inspection/automated x-ray inspection machine. This position will also interact with customers and manufacturing leadership for metrics reporting and issue resolution.\n\nWhat You Will Get To Do:\n\n * Develop, update, and maintain programming of an automated optical inspection/automated x-ray inspection machine for the inspection of circuit card assemblies\n\n * Perform data analysis of automated optical inspection/automated x-ray inspection machine results for metrics reporting and issue resolution\n\n * Maintain organization of automated optical inspection/automated x-ray inspection programming databases and algorithm libraries\n\n * Incorporate the build and inspection requirements of industry standards into automated optical inspection/automated x-ray inspection programs\n\n * Work as a process owner for the manufacturing of circuit card assemblies\n\n * Develop processes, procedures, and assembly instructions for the build of circuit card assemblies\n\n * Perform continuous improvement activities focused on cost/schedule savings during manufacturing\n\n * Work with customers to provide manufacturing feedback, metrics and data reporting, and issue resolution\n\n * Perform root cause and corrective action plans using techniques such as 5 whys, fishbone diagrams, etc\n\n * Work directly with operators and other manufacturing engineers on the shop floor in a production environment\n\n * Work with various electronics manufacturing equipment and processes to maintain production flow\n\n * Provide technical project leadership for continuous improvement and root cause/corrective action projects\n\n\n\n\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess:\n\n * Ability to work in a production environment\n\n * Good technical writing skills\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for the Manufacturing Engineer:\n\n * Be completing or has completed their degree Bachelor\u2019s from an accredited institution\n\n * Be majoring in or having majored in a related STEM field\n\n * Experience with the design or build of circuit card assemblies\n\n * Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools\n\n * Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Secret security clearance\n\n * US Citizenship required.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with automated optical inspection or other machine vision systems\n\n * Experience with data structures and network architecture\n\n * Experience with industry standards for the build and inspection of electronic assemblies including J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610\n\n * Experience in a manufacturing environment for circuit card assemblies\n\n * Experience with the processes and equipment used to build circuit card assemblies\n\n * Experience using Siemens Teamcenter as a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool\n\n * Experience using SAP as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool\n\n * Experience working hands-on with electronic parts and assemblies in a production environment\n\n * Experience working with engineering drawings and parts lists using a Configuration Management (CM) system\n\n * Experience using Lean Six Sigma techniques for continuous improvement activities\n\n * Data analysis experience\n\n * Active Secret clearance\n\n\n\n\nSalary Range:\n\n$59,900.00 TO $89,900.00\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\n\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
