WAIT STAFF

Position Snapshot: The wait staff is responsible for creating guest satisfaction through both the food and beverage AND the hospitality program through preparation, preparedness, and presentation. The wait staff is also responsible for the correct handling and preparation of all food items and monetary transactions to ensure our Guests' satisfaction at all times. Prepare and serve food and beverages to park guests, operate cash registers, help maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned stand while providing quality service to park guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 16+ years old
• Must have prior Wait Staff experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs

• Work in noisy, hot, fast paced environments with distracting conditions

• Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently

NITTY GRITTY DETAILS:

• Answer questions, ensure quality service and resolve complaints
• Serve food in correct portions to ensure proper food cost procedures are followed
• Communicate well and with volume to guests
• Maintain proper stock levels for all serving, kitchen, dining and condiment areas are stocked with supplies; alert Team Leader to supply shortages
• Mop floors, wipe off counters, sweep, empty trash and complete other general cleaning duties
• Take proper payment and make change for food and beverage items using a cash register
• Ability to stay organized and calm in a busy setting
• Spend consecutive hours standing and walking throughout the park
• Handles unsatisfied guests with gracefulness and is solution oriented
• Provides guest service according to OC Waterpark standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with OC Waterpark safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
• Meets OC Waterpark's attendance requirements as outlined in OC Waterpark's attendance policies
• Adheres OC Waterpark's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
• Other duties may be assigned
