Day in the Life of a Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. From tiltrotor technology to tail sitting vehicles, our engineers work across a wide portfolio of aircraft programs. As an Engineer at Bell, you can expect to:

  • Use advanced analysis tools, ANSYS, NASTRAN, for component analysis.

  • Develop systems engineering processes, from requirements through verification.

  • Work in a test lab environment to evaluate mechanical and/or materials testing at a coupon or component level.

  • Work with a team to design, build, and test a complex vehicle to specific requirements and specifications.


What You’ll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Mechanical Engineering required

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Available to work full time, onsite starting in January 2027

 

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Exposure to CATIA / advanced CAD systems, component design experience.

  • Exposure to advanced analysis tools, ANSYS, NASTRAN, component analysis experience.

  • Familiarity with defining and interpreting GD&T.

  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes, from requirements through verification.

  • System integration experience, integrating complex systems, including sensors, components, complex electronic hardware, and software.

  • Lab experience with mechanical and/or materials testing at a coupon or component level.

  • Hands on experience working with a team to design, build, and test a complex vehicle to specific requirements and specifications.
