Description
Be a part of our mission-driven Health Services team, dedicated to the well-being of Aurora's diverse community. As an itinerant nurse, you'll be the primary nurse for 1-2 elementary schools, with the opportunity to flex across the district and make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities

Manage student health records, medication administration, and emergency action plans
Develop individualized health care plans and support IEP/504 teams
Conduct mandated vision and hearing screenings
Train and delegate tasks to unlicensed school staff
Serve as a trusted health resource for students, families, and staff
Collaborate with community providers to ensure comprehensive care
Implement health initiatives and special projects district-wide
Support schools with the greatest need and provide additional nursing coverage
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (3 years)
Active Colorado RN license
Colorado Special Services Provider license or eligibility
Current CPR certification
3+ years of clinical experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English (strongly preferred)
School or pediatric nursing experience is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for student health and well-being
