We are searching for a Second Grade Teacher who is passionate about growing young minds, cultivating joyful classrooms, and helping scholars take ownership of their learning.

As our Second Grade Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in helping scholars bridge foundational skills and build deeper understanding in reading, writing, and math. You’ll foster a classroom culture that’s structured, nurturing, and filled with curiosity and exploration. With your guidance, scholars will gain confidence, independence, and a deeper love for learning.
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across all core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies)
Provide explicit, research-based literacy instruction that supports decoding, fluency, and comprehension
Use data and formative assessments to drive instruction and support differentiated learning
Incorporate social-emotional learning and community building into your daily routines
Maintain high expectations and a joyful, inclusive learning environment
Build strong relationships with scholars and families through ongoing communication
Collaborate with your grade-level team and instructional leaders to plan, reflect, and grow
Model and promote a growth mindset in all areas of classroom practice
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid Arkansas teaching license (or eligibility to obtain one) in K–6 or Elementary Education
Strong knowledge of early literacy and numeracy strategies
Experience working with young learners and a passion for equity in education
Patience, structure, enthusiasm, and a deep belief in the potential of every child
