Job Description - 2nd Shift Electrician

Eaton\u2019s EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Electrician. \n\nThe hourly range for this position is $23.48-$38.87 per hour. Also offering relocation assistance of $5,000 and must remain in position for at least a year.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Electrician will assemble, install, maintain and repair electrical production/factory equipment. Fabricate special purpose units for electrical measurement, control and communications systems. \n\n\nWorking Procedure\n\n1) Receive oral and written instructions from supervisor or other designated personnel. \n2) Provide own hand tools and lockable toolbox. \n3) Read and interpret maintenance specifications, blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams. \n4) Layout, install, alter, maintain and repair electrical wiring, communication and control systems, circuit breakers, transformers and other electrical equipment. \n5) Analyze power, control and communication system failures. Diagnose cause and make system repairs per appropriate specifications. Check system upon completion of work to ensure proper operation. \n6) Fabricate parts using simple machine tools such as drill press, band saw, pipe threading machine, shear and press break. Prep and paint parts as required. \n7) Be able to soft and silver solder. \n8) Obtain necessary tools, equipment and hardware from stock. \n9) Observe National Electrical Code and plant electrical standards. \n10) Perform specified preventative maintenance on all types of electrical factory and production related equipment. \n11) Perform all job requirements of \u201cElectronic Electrician (EE)\u201d. \n12) Maintain company records as required. \n13) Follow and maintain safety rules and practices. \n14) Perform required housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n3-5 Years of industrial/commercial electrical experience \nHave completed a State Licensed Journeyman Apprenticeship Program or the ability to complete, Completion of relevant Trade School, or field related AAS Degree. \nExperience working in a manufacturing environment or working IBEW experience \n \n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n3 - 5 years of industrial electrical experience \nState Licensed Journeyman \n2 years\u2019 experience working in a manufacturing environment \n \n\n\n## Skills:\n\nPossess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following:\n\n * Stainless Steel\n * Welding/Fabrication\n * Piping systems\n * Electricity\n * PLC\u2019s (Programmable logic controllers)\n * Process control instrumentation\n * Process equipment\n * Personal Computing\n\n\n\n# #IND123\n\n#LI-JW1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
