2nd Shift Lathe Operator

Global Dental Science, a company specializing in process automation for dentistry, and creators of AvaDent Digital Dentures, seeks to hire a Lathe Operator for our second (2nd) shift, 12:30pm - 9:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Lathe Operators set up and operate lathes and run parts according to work instructions. Experience in the setup and operation of lathes with a digital read-out is desirable. Previous CNC mill experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Pay Rate: $18.00

Main Tasks:

• Review production orders to verify correct specifications
• Set up lathe and operate per specifications
• Maintain all logs

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
2. Alert Manager of any repair needs of other areas of concern with regard to the facility
3. Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
4. Assist in manufacturing processes as directed
5. Assist in engineering processes as directed
6. Perform a variety of tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the business

Requirements

Function Requirements: (education, experience, competences, etc.)

The Lathe technician should have a high school degree or equivalent. Prior experience in a manufacturing technician role, following work instructions and using a lathe is preferred.
