2nd Shift Hours: 4PM-2:50AM

Position Overview:

Entry level machinist position or new graduate from Technology school
Demonstrate an ability to perform satisfactory work with minimum supervision
Perform setups and make adjustments to setups as required
Perform inspection of work produced
Show a continued interest in good housekeeping and safety practices
Develop an awareness for support groups
Engage in Continuous Improvement activities



Primary Responsibilities:
Reads and interprets drawings, sketches and blueprints and be able to interpret Geometrics Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Sets up and operates machine shop equipment, e.g., mills, lathes, drill presses, etc., to cut material and drill holes according to specifications
Inspects and measures completed projects with micrometers, calipers, venires, etc., to ensure conformance to specifications
Ability to use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
Must Adhere to all EH&S regulations and policies as well as attend related training courses
Follow EH&S roles and responsibilities in accordance with Cargo Policy MP5322
Performs other duties as directed



Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a HS diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Machine Shop Technology Degree
Basic Blueprint Reading
Shop Math/Metrology
Experience operating CNC Machines
