2nd Shift Paint Line Technician

Job Summary: The Paint Line Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that our paint line moves seamlessly. The main function will be managing the wash and powder coating systems, in addition to routine maintenance checks, to deliver quality finish in a timely manner to meet production needs. It's also important to label materials and ensure that all safety practices and procedures are followed. 

Essential Duties: 

• Hang parts on hooks using pre-established procedures.
• Assemble components to painted parts as needed.
• Material movement to and from paint line.
• Label components with correct part number identification stickers.
• Deliver coated parts to the designated location. 
• Confirm that all safety practices and procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Recommend process and systems improvements. 
• Mask areas of parts not requiring paint finish.  
• Start up and shut down of operation equipment.
• Powder coat painting of components.
• Maintenance of paint machine. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Excellent reasoning ability along with strong math and reading skills. 
• Good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude 
• Ability to stand for up to 8+ hours per day

Physical Demands: 

• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist occasionally.
• Ability to lift 65 pounds from waist to chest occasionally.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds from chest to over head frequently.
• Ability to carry 30 pounds, 3 feet, occasionally. 
• Ability to push 200 pounds on a wheeled cart for 40 feet occasionally.
• Ability to pull 60 pounds on a wheeled cart for 50 feet occasionally.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Good hand/finger dexterity required.
• Ability to handle repetitive motion.
• Ability to see detail up close.
• Ability to reach above shoulders, crouch, bend at the waist, and climb an A-frame ladder. 

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1+ years of previous manufacturing experience  
• Forklift certification, preferred
