2nd Shift Production Assistant

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Work as a team with all co-workers.

Prior to starting a job, gather trays and/or sleeves and ensure there are enough empty cages.

Provides assistance to operator by filling insert stations and envelopes whenever necessary.

Sort mail for delivery to USPS by utilizing presort reports.

Maintain a clean and neat work area.

As job is in progress:

- Check date and postage rate.

- Fan, checking for proper sealing, ensuring bar codes are visible, looking for blank envelopes or missing postage.

- Check count at least twice per tray to ensure accuracy.

- Notify operator to stop machine when a problem arises.

- Place pieces neatly in trays.

- Ensure that all filled cages are marked with correct mail date cards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
