2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor - Hiring Fast

Essential Functions of Role:

This is a “hands on” Foreman position responsible for the management of Shipping, Receiving, and the Dry Warehouse at the Michigan Turkey Producers Hall Street facility. The position will receive all inbound packaging and ingredients at this location as well as help coordinate and transfer finished goods and dry materials to and from the Chicago Dr. facility.

List of Specific Accountabilities:

• Duties include Purchase Order receipt transactions.
• Perform inventory transfers to and from both MTP locations.
• Responsible for all activities involving the receiving and inventory management of packaging, ingredients, and labels.
• Perform cycle counting to ensure correct inventory balances and determine the causes of the inaccuracies.
• Shuttle packaging, ingredients, pre-blends & finished goods between both facility locations.
• Follow USDA guidelines.
• Comply with sanitation SOP’s and HACCP requirements.
• Must be committed to quality and safety.
• Must have the ability to meet working times and scheduled hours as required.
• Must be able to perform functions and instructions with minimal direct supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, college preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in shipping, inventory control, and materials management.
• Excellent math skills.
• Computer Proficiency (MFG/ PRO, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Lift Truck license required.
• Must have a current valid Michigan CDL Class A Driver’s License with clean driving record in accordance with the Michigan Turkey Producers' Fleet Safety Manual and the DOT.
• Must have at least one year Tractor-Trailer driving experience with safe driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug and alcohol screening tests.
• Must obey and be in compliance with local and DOT rules and regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work with many levels of management.
• Ability to read, write, and speak utilizing the English language.

• Must be able to safely operate an Industrial Lift Truck and semi tractor-trailer.

• Able to lift 50 pounds throughout the scheduled shift and up to a maximum of 80 lbs.
