2nd Shift Shop Helper

Position Details: 

• Receive instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.


• Organize, and maintain organization, of parts to specific BOMs.


• Secure materials such as fasteners, lifting straps, oil, hose, clamps, spray paint, etc. to facilitate the building of equipment.


• Collect necessary parts to assemble components.


• Sort and place parts in appropriate location.


• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage and return them after use.


• Distribute tools and other items for use and return them to the appropriate locations, according to plans. Maintain neat and orderly hose area.


• Gathering parts from parts room and/or Fabrication if needed.


• Move scrap materials to appropriate recycling location and/or trash receptacles.


• Measure, create, and apply labels to necessary hoses/wire harnesses that do not already have labels


• Signal Team Members to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.


• Other duties as needed to meet Production requirements.

Qualifications/Experience:

• No minimum education required.


• At least 6 months as a Laborer in a Manufacturing (or similar) environment.


• Mechanical aptitude preferred.


• Forklift experience preferred.


• Basic knowledge of hand tools for plumbing, electrical, and carpentry materials/techniques required


• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.


• Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the day.

Supervisory Responsibility - this position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment - this job operates in a shop environment where tools and other machinery is used.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Tuesday through Friday, 4:00PM. to 2:30 A.M.
