The Weiss-Aug Group’s Elk Grove Village location, Diemasters Mfg., is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Stamping Supervisor who will coordinate the stamping department activities of team leaders and other team members under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager.  

Responsibilities  

• Direct and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and duties and make changes when necessary to meet objectives
• Oversee activities of production and operating employees under the direction of the Manager
• Ensures department has appropriate staff to meet objectives
• Monitor results and processes to proactively maximize production and eliminate waste
• Train and develop team members and team leaders to promote growth, advancement, and meet company needs
• Complete necessary documentation, such as status changes, time-off requests, incident reports, and performance evaluations
• Interpret work orders, specifications, and company policies and procedures for employees
• Effectively collaborate and maintain productive working relationships with other managers, supervisors, team leaders, and team members
• Assist manager in developing and implementing standard work instructions and identifying potential areas of improvement to management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, ideally in a stamping/press manufacturing operation
• Create a positive work environment and contribute to the morale of the team
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership
• Use respect, tact, and courtesy in working with others
• Exposure working with presses is preferred
• Position is for 2nd shift, with an approximate start time of 2:00pm
• ERP system experience is a plus
• Must have proficient oral and written communication skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be willing to cross-train
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
