Position Summary: To ship products to our customers 99.3% per the promised shipping date. Create an environment that promotes teamwork when all employees work for one common goal of shipping 99.3% of the time, open and honest communication and employee development.
Responsibilities:
Manage Production workflow process through all departments while meeting labor rate goal, shipping on time of 99.3% of the time and meeting the quality expectations of our customers.
Coach and mentor staff for future roles within CDI.
Responsible for ensuring all training of employees has been completed for all new employees within the Plant.
Keep training matrix updated and current.
Drive moral by treating employees with respect and getting to know them in a more personal nature.
Hold plant daily huddles with all departments attending.
Assist Plant Manager with employee production accountability and write ups.
Advise/assist in employee review/merit process and employee development of employees.
Verifying that all products leaving facility meet the quality expectations of our customers while shipping 99.3% of the time
Assist with plant leadership in logistics, safety, and continuous improvement, batching to achieve short/long term goals of CDI, and plant
Misc. tasks assigned.
Requirements
Requirements
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record in managing production.
Demonstrated application of CDI, Inc. core values.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
Extensive phone and computer use
Ability to continuously stand or walk
Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat, and lift
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds occasionally
Preferred Experience
3-5 years experience in production environment
Experience leading and directing the work of others
