3rd Shift Quality Technician

Eaton\u2019s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Quality Technician. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.73 per hour plus a 50 cent shift differential. \nThis position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nCore hours for this role are 10:30pm-7:00am.\n\nEaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton\u0027s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Use Roxboro\u2019s Quality Management System, control plans, SPC/Reaction charts, and verification records \n\u2022 Receive inspection and out-going dock audits of components for production use \n\u2022 Use complicated gaging, CMM\u2019s, and inspection special gaging \n\u2022 Gage R\u0026R studies, part layouts, complicated computerized data entry for SPC applications and calibrations \n\u2022 Keep accurate, traceable records as well as daily filing of complete forms and reports \n\u2022 Inspect and release heat treat lots using specialized equipment \n\u2022 Manage and use the Non-conforming Material tracking system \n\u2022 Leak-down test, viscosity test, debris filtration checks and other specialized tests\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Roxboro, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Ability to interpret drawings, select proper equipment, set up equipment and perform accurate inspections and tests. Direction from the supervisor in these areas of the job should generally not be required even when new part numbers or jobs are encountered. \n\u2022 Ability to lift loads weighing as much as 35 pounds on a regular basis. \n\u2022 Must have competent math skills required to perform capability studies, maintain X-R charts, plotting, lot plotting, histograms, set-up approval sheets, manual R \u0026 R calculations, etc. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of computers and computer software including Enovia, Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required. Experience/training in Autocad is preferred. Database experience is a plus. A working knowledge of measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and thread gages is required.
