Job Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor common areas, entrances, exits, and other designated property areas.
• Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the property, including parking lots, pool areas, and other assigned locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, property damage, and policy violations.
• Maintain accurate and timely incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Verify visitor identification and assist with access control procedures as needed.
• Respond to non-emergency security concerns in accordance with established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, guests, management, and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Perform assigned security duties while working independently during overnight hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one (1) year of security experience.
• Current South Carolina SLED Security Officer Certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic report-writing and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
• Ability to patrol the property on foot as required.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain awareness of surroundings.
• Ability to occasionally climb stairs and navigate various areas of the property.

Screening Requirements

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, where permitted by applicable law.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, if required by company policy and applicable law.
• Ability to provide documentation establishing authorization to work in the United States.
