ISO 17025 Technical Writer / Quality Specialist:


This individual will be responsible for drafting, revising, and standardizing quality documentation to support the remediation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 non-conformances. This role ensures clear, compliant, and audit-ready SOPs, work instructions, CAPA documentation, and quality records aligned with accreditation and regulatory expectations.  




  • Develop and revise SOPs, forms, and technical documentation related to ISO 17025 remediation activities.




  • Translate corrective action plans and audit findings into clear procedural updates.




  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.




  • Maintain document control in compliance with client internal quality systems.




  • Support CAPA documentation, effectiveness checks, and evidence gathering for accreditation readiness.




  • Ensure that all revised documents meet ISO 17025 formatting and content standards.




Requirements:




  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, or quality-related discipline.




  • Experience writing technical or quality system documentation in a laboratory or regulated environment.




  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and quality system remediation best practices.




  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and clarity in writing.




  • Familiarity with document control systems or electronic QMS platforms (preferred).




  • Demonstrated ability to generate high-quality project deliverables independently by required due dates.




  • Capacity to identify issues and proactively elevate to the project lead.




  • Advanced Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint capabilities



  • Minimum 2-5 years of role relevant experience.


This is a hybrid role with travel to site once per month in Baton Rouge, LA required.

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
