Prairie Kitchen at 701 Eateries is hiring a Line Cook who’s passionate about crafting food that looks as good as it tastes. We’re a full-service, farm-to-table inspired restaurant with a casual, creative energy and a menu that puts a Midwest spin on New American classics.

This is not your average line cook job—we’re looking for someone who’s experienced, thoughtful, and genuinely into the culinary craft. Whether you’ve been through culinary school or climbed your way up in kitchens the old-school way, we want someone who’s still curious, still learning, and still excited to plate something they’re proud of.

Prairie Kitchen (our main floor dining room) serves up scratch-made, Midwest-inspired dishes in a space that’s both elevated and approachable. It’s full-service, scratch kitchen with a local twist—but without the pretension.

Whether you're early in your culinary journey or have serious skills, we’re here to build a team that supports each other, pushes for better, and takes pride in every plate.

What You’ll Be Doing:
– Cooking and plating dishes with care, creativity, and consistency
– Working a variety of stations (grill, sauté, etc.)
– Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
– Contributing ideas and feedback to improve the menu and systems
– Working evenings and weekends with a solid, supportive team

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
– Have a background in cooking, culinary arts, or restaurant kitchens
– Take pride in your work and want to keep improving your craft
– Can stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen
– Work well with others and don’t mind a little banter
– Can lift 30-50 lbs and show up reliably, ready to go
