807 Medical Assistant ( In-Office Telehealth Assistant)

LOOKING FOR ENERGETIC AND COMPASSIONATE INDIVIDUAL TO FILL OUR IN-OFFICE TELEHEALTH TECH POSITION!

The Telehealth personnel will provide medical care to patients via audio and video calls as well as written communications. The Telehealth representative responsibilities include monitoring prescription medication usage, informing the provider regarding prescription renewal request, and helping provider process referring patients to other Physicians or health care specialists as needed. The Telehealth representative will also be able to address patients' concerns regarding the use of Telehealth services.

To be successful as a Telehealth representative, you should be detail-oriented and able to communicate with patients effectively through various virtual communication channels. Ultimately, an exceptional Telehealth representative should keep abreast of the latest developments in the healthcare industry as well as demonstrate sound medical knowledge and excellent analytical skills.

The MA must be able to multitask, communicate effectively, follow instruction, be a team player, know how to manage time appropriately, be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ICD 10 Codes, CPT codes, type 50 words per minute, knowledge of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Adobe reader 9. 

Telehealth Representative Responsibilities:

• Discussing and reviewing along with provider the patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications.


• Asking patients situation-specific questions to help assist provider with formulating accurate diagnoses.


• Assisting provider with formulating suitable treatment plans to address non-threatening conditions, such as common colds, cases of flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, allergies, and rashes.


• Discussing common questions that patients may have when the provider is prescribing various diagnostic tests to aid in providing accurate diagnoses.


• Assisting provider with analyzing diagnostic test results and explaining them to patients.


• Maintaining accurate records of patients' contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress.


• Advising patients per the providers guidance on suitable diets and exercise regimens to improve their overall health.


• Assisting patients in managing chronic health conditions based on the provider’s recommendations.
