We are seeking an Estimator to join our high performing team and newly renovated Abra auto body shop.  This position will effectively handle communications with insurance adjusters and customers throughout the repair process, maintaining the highest level of customer experience.  At Abra we are a team and strive to go the extra mile for our guests and team members.   

abra Estimator Duties/Responsibilities:

Salary is $40k - $50k annual base, plus commissions.

• Communicate well: Inform and educate customers about Abra repair process, including insurance claims processing, payment procedures, repair techniques, repair needs and expected delivery date of repair.
• Be process oriented: Examine, analyze, and evaluate damaged vehicles to create a comprehensive and accurate estimate of repair.
• Be empathetic and understanding when communicating with our guests.
• Collaborate with insurance agents, dealerships, fleet accounts and other customers, maintaining and strengthening quality relationships.
• Keep insurance adjusters, production staff and guests informed with timely updates regarding the status of the vehicle repair. This is very much a relationship business.
• Ensure quality is always excellent because our reputation matters.

Requirements

abra Estimator Required Skills/Abilities:

• 1-3 years prior experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser
• Prior damage analysis experience related to hybrid vehicles, restraint systems, electrical systems, and identifying hail, theft and/or vandalism damage
• Experience with collision management systems (CCC, MRC)
• Proficiency using Mitchell or CCC-1 estimating software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• I-CAR training or other industry training preferred
• History of working independently but always focusing on the team
• Communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• High school diploma required
• Must be able to work the following days and hours:
  • Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
