Job Description - Abstractor - Land & Easement Rights

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an Abstractor with experience in land records, easements, and right-of-way to join our team at our Baltimore, MD office location. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor performing land surveying related duties. At ENTRUST Solutions Group, we’re proud to be an industry leader in engineering and consulting services - helping modernize, protect, and strengthen essential infrastructure across the country. If you enjoy taking ownership of your work, collaborating with innovative teams, and seeing your designs make a real-world impact, this role was built for you.

In this role, you’ll be the go‑to person for uncovering and organizing the land rights details that keep survey and utility projects on track. You’ll dig into land records—both online and in person—to research property ownership, easements, rights‑of‑way, and encumbrances. Along the way, you’ll review deeds, plats, and legal descriptions, prepare title abstracts and easement summaries, and collaborate closely with surveyors, clients, government agencies, and occasionally property owners to ensure everything is accurate, clear, and well‑documented.

You’ll also support the survey team by using CAD to prepare plats, drawings, and exhibits for a wide range of survey types, including ALTA/NSPS, boundary, right‑of‑way, topographic, and FEMA Elevation Certifications. You’ll read and interpret plans, set up MISS Utility tickets, and keep files organized across multiple states. If you enjoy working with land records, maps, and technical details—and like balancing independent research with team collaboration—this role offers variety, responsibility, and room to mentor others as you grow.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and flexible work schedules.

  • This position pays between $60,000 and $85,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • 3 years of experience as a title abstractor, paralegal, or related land records professional.

  • Must have valid driver's license without restrictions for occasional project visits.
