We’re seeking an Academic Program Manager for Jump Start to work at a premier college in Auburn Hills for a special project through mid-August. It would start out very part time (10 hours a week) until the program starts in July (moves to 40 hours a week) with us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.

What’s a typical day as a Program Manager - Jump Start? You’ll be:
• Coordinating and implementing program activities, including program enrollment, student basic needs support, and student equipment and supplies distribution.
• Serving as the on-site point of contact for students, faculty, and staff during all program activities.
• Assisting students with college processes and linking them to appropriate resources.
• Assisting with program marketing, recruitment, and retention.
• Attending workshops and sharing best practices with peer institutions.
• Executing, monitoring, and troubleshooting objectives to meet program requirements.
• Monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
• Setting up and maintaining records and databases.
• Developing a process for data collection and writing reports.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a strong understanding of diverse college populations and best practices for student success.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport.
• Have effective oral and written communication skills.
• Have experience collecting and evaluating data for program improvement.
• Can coordinate and collaborate with personnel across multiple departments.
• Have strong critical thinking, analytical, and interpretative skills.
• Are proficient in MS-Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Have two or more years of work experience in program coordination or project management.
• Have experience in collaboration, project management, communications, event planning, data management, Microsoft applications, and grants management.
• Have skills in project management tracking systems (preferred).
• Have experience developing successful programs within academia or workforce development and leading cross-functional teams (preferred).
• Have experience working in higher education or a community college (preferred).
