POSITION SUMMARY
The main responsibilities include (1) leading and managing the Accommodations Department, in partnership with other departments, to serve and host guests and staff with excellence, (2) coordinating and performing cleaning duties to maintain PCCC in a clean and orderly manner in accordance to the cleaning SOP, (3) coordinating and facilitating activities in a safe and enjoyable way according to the activity SOP, (4) maintaining and replacing the equipment in guest meeting rooms, appliances for the Accommodations Department, and department tools and supplies, and (5) working with the Leadership Team to achieve PCCC’s mission and strategic vision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(1) Leading and managing the Accommodations Department, in partnership with other departments, to serve and host guests and staff with excellence
a. Prayerfully leads the Accommodations department to serve with excellence in all areas of responsibility.
b. Live out PCCC core values and organizational behaviors and help develop them in your team.
c. Maintains the highest standard available within the budgeted guidelines.
d. Interviews, trains, and supervises all accommodations personnel. Builds and empowers their team and recommends to the Lead Director the hiring or dismissal of any employees under their supervision.
e. Field supervision for all accommodations staff while reporting needs, concerns, and ideas for success to the Lead Director, as well as providing consistent feedback for direct reports.
f. Effectively communicates all necessary information to the accommodations staff as well as other department supervisors.
g. Works closely with the Guest Services department in coordinating arrivals, departures, and activities to assure guest satisfaction.
h. Ensures that all guests are greeted, honored and satisfied.
(2) Coordinating and performing cleaning duties to maintain PCCC in a clean and orderly manner in accordance to the cleaning SOP
a. Ensures that the accommodations team is effectively serving the needs of guests, including both anticipated and last-minute requests as is feasible.
b. Maintains overall cleanliness of all guest buildings, as well as accommodations areas, the camp office, dining hall bathrooms, and as directed, staff housing.
c. Schedules and organizes clean-up & set up crews and associates to provide ready, clean, and distraction-free spaces for guests in a prompt timeframe.
d. Helps with cleaning to ensure the accommodations team meets standards and deadlines and builds a positive and strong team culture.
(3) Coordinating and facilitating activities in a safe and enjoyable way according to the activity SOP
a. Oversees all activities (Paintball, Archery, Rifle and Shotguns, etc.) ensuring proper and safe working conditions for all equipment, guests, and staff.
b. Communicates activity needs to other department supervisors by Tuesday the week before to ensure all activities are fully staffed for guest requests.
c. Provides field oversight for the efficient operation of guest requested activities, updates all SOPs, and upkeeps activity equipment and gear.
d. Train and test as a Chief Range Safety Officer and Lifeguard Instructor to train staff in-house and maintain a certified and ready team to run camp activities.
e. Facilitate activities as needed and cover breaks for all staff running activities.
f. Reports concerns regarding safety of guests and staff, as well as issues that may warrant discipline, to the Lead Director.
(4) Maintaining and replacing the equipment in guest meeting rooms, appliances for the Accommodations Department, and department tools and supplies.
a. Maintains all equipment (in accommodations and at activities) in safe-operating, excellent condition, reporting needed repairs to the Maintenance Manager.
b. Oversees, maintains, and troubleshoots audio/visual equipment and ensures staff are equipped to help with guest audio/visual needs.
c. Oversees and troubleshoots the WiFi system.
d. Oversees, purchases, and organizes accommodations inventory according to the budget.
e. Ensures all storage areas are well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
(5) Working with the Leadership Team to achieve PCCC’s mission and strategic vision
a. Works cohesively with the Lead Director and other managers as a Leadership Team to achieve PCCC’s mission and strategic vision.
b. Contributes and engages in Leadership Team meetings including manager’s meetings, strategic planning, and leading staff trainings/meetings.
c. Performs similar, job related duties and special projects as directed by the Lead Director.
