Account Coordinator

Trucco is a family-owned importer and nationwide distributor of fresh produce, dried fruits and nuts. Founded in 1937 and headquartered at the Hunts Point Terminal Market (Bronx, NY), we operate a 200,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Vineland, NJ. Our programs include kiwifruit, citrus, grapes, chestnuts and more, sourced worldwide for year-round supply. Trucco is part of Orsero Group, one of Europe's leading fresh produce distributors.

The role
As we grow our key accounts in the Southeast and on the West Coast, we have two Account Coordinator openings to keep those accounts running smoothly day to day.  You will partner with our Account Manager and handle the daily details of our key accounts, so the Account Manager can focus on strategy, travel and growth. You will be the first point of contact for routine customer needs and the link between our customers and our operations teams.

What you'll do

• Manage orders. Enter and confirm orders, track shipments and keep customers updated on delivery status.
• Be the first point of contact. Answer routine customer questions on availability, pricing and deliveries, and escalate bigger issues to the Account Manager.
• Coordinate with operations. Work with Logistics, the Vineland team and QA to keep orders on time and in spec; process claims, credits and adjustments.
• Support pricing and bids. Maintain price sheets, gather data for RFP/RFQ responses and send out crop and supply updates.
• Prepare reports. Pull sales and service reports, track progress against account goals and prepare materials for seasonal reviews and customer meetings.
• Keep things organized. Keep customer records and the CRM up to date, and help schedule meetings and travel for the Account Manager.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales support or order management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage many orders and deadlines at once.
• Clear, friendly communication by phone and email.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Flexibility to work hours that cover Southeast and West Coast customers when needed.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or order-entry systems.
• Background in food distribution serving retail customers, such as working with supermarket buyers, handling produce orders for retail chains, or managing customer communication around deliveries and claims.
• Familiarity with produce seasonality and PACA.
• Fluency in Spanish.
