Position Summary:
The Account Coordinator supports Propel’s Default Management by managing attorney-placed accounts in foreclosure and bankruptcy. This role is responsible for account preparation, attorney communication, documentation accuracy, and monitoring progress on real estate owned (REO) accounts. The Account Coordinator plays a key role in supporting legal processes and serves as a subject matter expert within the department, contributing to cross-functional collaboration, internal training, and continuous process improvement.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive mindset—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is committed to providing high-quality support to both internal teams and external legal partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a primary point of contact for third-party attorneys managing foreclosure and bankruptcy accounts; respond to inquiries and provide documentation as needed.
Prepare affidavits and assignment of liens to support foreclosure proceedings and ensure accurate, timely processing of legal documents.
Review and verify attorney fees and other charges; reconcile invoices and coordinate payment application in partnership with the treasury operations team.
Conduct research on foreclosure cases and report on upcoming sales; support judgment preparation and ensure foreclosure holds are appropriately monitored.
Serve as a knowledge resource within the Legal Operations team and help identify areas for operational improvement.
Utilize Salesforce and Legal Operations dashboards to ensure all loans are accurately tracked and properly placed in the legal process.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience in collections or as a paralegal required
Experience in tax lending, mortgage servicing, or a legal support environment preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce, TMO, or similar platforms is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
