Job Description - Account Executive


Role Overview:

The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the company’s financial records, including booking financial transactions, managing physical and digital records, processing payments, performing bank reconciliations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy. This role ensures all financial information is handled efficiently and reported in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

·Post journal entries to the accounting system and update the general ledger with accurate and timely information. Ensure all journal entries comply with accounting principles and internal controls.
·Maintain and organize both physical and digital financial records for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
·Payment Processing (Cash and Bank):
·Process payments (both cash and bank) in accordance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
·Monitor and manage outgoing and incoming payments, ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
·Ensure the timely and accurate payment of government dues for each company, including withholding tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
·Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the company’s bank accounts are in balance. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between the company’s accounting records and bank statements. Coordinate with banks to clarify any discrepancies or issues related to payments, deposits, or balances.
·Work closely with other departments (e.g., Admin, HR) to gather necessary financial data and ensure accurate booking of transactions.
·Perform daily cash and bank balance confirmation to ensure accurate reporting and timely updates of cash and bank positions.
·Prepare and submit reports as required by the finance department, including daily, weekly, or monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, or any other relevant documents.
·Ensure reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
·Ensure monthly filing of sale tax return of Awaz ad.
·Processing and tracking of Landlord payment according to the agreement.
·Post journal entries to the accounting system and update the general ledger with accurate and timely information.
·Ensure all journal entries comply with accounting principles and internal controls.
·Ensure monthly reconciliation and updating of intercompany ledgers.
·Provide recommendations on system and control environment improvement areas.
·Provide information during external and internal audits.
