The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and developing business relationships with potential clients and closing new broker sales agreements. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new broker sales opportunities, with a strong emphasis on independently generating activity. Success is supported by a consultative sales approach, effective prospecting techniques, persistence throughout the sales cycle, and a solid understanding of the value and impact of Employee Navigator’s solution being offered.


Responsibilities



  • Generate net-new business opportunities, leveraging the company's expertise, industry profile, and market knowledge

  • Schedule and present Employee Navigator's services to prospective broker clients

  • Prepare and present proposals, with appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process

  • Work directly with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition for clients

  • Develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals and other sources

  • Build and maintain relationships within the GA channel and other referral sources

  • Maintain contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services

  • Attend trade shows and other events to promote Employee Navigator's services

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the group benefits landscape, including carriers, brokers, general agents, and HCM platforms

  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience



  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year university

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales position

  • Experience in the benefits administration or HCM space is strongly preferred

  • Proven track record of sales success

  • Ability to succeed in a competitive, high-activity environment

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to handle objections

  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
