Job Description - Account Executive

This position is pivotal in driving revenue growth by identifying and engaging new client prospects while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing Switch clients. Close collaboration across Switch teams is required to meet and exceed sales targets. Additionally, this role serves as a client advocate, fostering strong and enduring relationships with assigned Switch clients across the United States through structured communications and comprehensive account reviews. This position will report to the Director of Sales.
Preferred candidate location(s) are Las Vegas, NV, Tahoe Reno, NV, Grand Rapids, MI, Atlanta, GA, or Austin, TX. Remote candidates will be considered, provided the candidate is comfortable with programmed travel to Switch’s prime markets.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries out no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

:

Identify, qualify, and effectively manage potential sales opportunities or leads through the sales pipeline
Cultivate strong growth relationships with potential and existing clients
Schedule and manage account reviews, collaborating with other Switch divisions as needed
Understand clients’ IT initiatives and priorities to align solutions better
Navigate the client's topography thoughtfully to ensure long-term relationship success
Engage in proactive, regular communication with clients to share Switch news and/or initiatives
Identify and manage new opportunities for additional product sales and expansion, overseeing the entire lifecycle, including complex negotiations
Serve as an escalation point for client issues, advocating for resolution and leveraging company resources as necessary
Utilize Salesforce to document relationships, activities, and key initiatives
Interact with clients in a manner that reflects Switch’s positive and professional image
Conduct effective and accurate data center tours of Switch facilities
Stay current with industry trends and marketplace developments to fully understand their impact on clients' business
Manage personal social media in a way that reflects a positive and professional image of Switch

Deep business acumen with extensive knowledge of the data center industry
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficient decision-making, which promotes Karma-based outcomes

Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
Engaged team player who thrives on supporting others in pursuit of a collective goal
Possible travel up to 10% of the time
Computer Equipment and Software

:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Experience using Salesforce and/or other CRM platforms

3+ years of B2B client service or sales experience, preferably in the technology or data center industry
