Position Overview:

Nassau University Medical Center is a 530-bed tertiary care teaching hospital and the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, serving as a vital safety net for Nassau County. Located in East Meadow, NY, NUMC delivers high-quality, compassionate care across a full spectrum of medical specialties and maintains strong academic affiliations with leading medical schools.

The Account Executive is responsible for overseeing all physician billing operations for Nassau Health Care Corporation (NuHealth) at the on-site location, serving as the primary liaison between NuHealth leadership and the billing services team. Ensures performance standards are met, provides reports, and addresses operational issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day physician billing activities.
• Monitor eligibility verification, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and AR follow-up.
• Provide weekly and monthly KPI and performance reports to NuHealth.
• Coordinate with NuHealth’s finance and compliance teams on audits, reporting, and process improvements.
• Train and supervise clerical support staff.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in physician billing, preferably in a hospital-based multi-specialty setting.
• Strong knowledge of payer rules, denial management, and revenue cycle analytics.
• Experience with the New York healthcare market preferred.
