Job Description - Account Executive, Programmatic

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Programmatic Sales Specialist to join our expanding sales organization. As we accelerate our programmatic capabilities and Connected TV monetization, this role offers a ground-floor opportunity to shape programmatic strategy at one of the leading Spanish-language media companies reaching millions of highly engaged viewers across premium content.

As an Account Executive, Programmatic Sales, you will serve as a programmatic subject matter expert with dedicated oversight of WPP. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue through Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) deals, cultivating deep relationships across WPP’s portfolio. You will deliver comprehensive, data-driven media solutions that achieve unparalleled results for agencies and marketers while championing TelevisaUnivision’s premium Spanish-language inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly and annual programmatic revenue targets by cultivating existing relationships and prospecting new opportunities
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline focused on agency trading desks, DSP account management teams, and programmatic marketers
  • Lead programmatic selling efforts to buy-side advertising partners including DSPs, Agency Programmatic Business Units
  • Navigate and manage deal creation, setup, and optimization across all stages of the programmatic sales cycle (PMP and PG)
  • Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, campaign management, product, operations) to manage deal health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for revenue growth
  • Monitor campaign metrics (response rates, win rates, clearing rates, CPMs) to ensure performance and maximize deal effectiveness
  • Serve as subject matter expert on programmatic trends, best practices, ad technologies, and TelevisaUnivision capabilities
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of programmatic platforms, DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP), SSPs, DMPs, and CTV platforms
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on programmatic pipeline, forecasting, campaign performance, and optimization opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years in digital advertising, with at least 2-3 years of direct experience in the programmatic media ecosystem (including exchanges, ad networks, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, CTV platforms)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in programmatic advertising sales and/or business development
  • In-depth experience with programmatic video and OTT/CTV sales, including a strong grasp of identity, attribution, and measurement solutions.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic buying/PMPs, including technology, techniques, partners, and business models
  • Existing relationships with agency trading desks, programmatic leads, and key buy-side decision makers
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), deal management platforms, and sales pipeline management
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, ad operations, and analytics teams
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred

  • Experience in broadcast/cable television or entertainment media sales
  • Knowledge of Spanish-language media landscape and Hispanic/multicultural audience insights
  • Understanding of FreeWheel, Google Ad Manager, Springserve and major SSP platforms
  • Familiarity with advanced TV/CTV programmatic buying and addressability strategies
  • Existing relationships within WPP Media.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position.

Base pay Range - $100,000 to $120,000 + Bonus + Benefits
