Job Description - Account Manager



About Us


One Hat One Hand is a custom architectural fabrication company specializing in metalwork, feature elements, and precision-built solutions for high-end commercial, institutional, and public projects. We collaborate with architects, developers, and general contractors to bring bold design visions to life.




Position Overview


We’re looking for a motivated Account Manager with Business Development Responsibilities to drive new business growth and nurture existing client relationships. This dual-role position balances outbound sales efforts with long-term relationship management and requires a unique blend of prospecting skills, client service acumen, and architectural sensibility.




Key Responsibilities


Account Management (AM Function – ~60%)



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of active clients

  • Manage ongoing relationships with key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business

  • Monitor project progress, align internal teams, and identify upsell opportunities

  • Prepare add-on scopes, change orders, and proposals in collaboration with estimating

  • Represent the brand at industry events and client presentations


New Business Development (BDR Function – ~40%)



  • Identify and engage new prospects: architects, GCs, developers, and consultants

  • Generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, referrals, and networking
    Manage the early sales process—initial contact through proposal coordination

  • Book and participate in discovery meetings and design introductions



  • Track outreach and pipeline using CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)


Qualifications:



  • 3–6 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management—preferably in architecture, construction, or fabrication industries

  • Strong understanding of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) landscape

  • Proven success in hitting sales quotas and managing client accounts

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to speak to both designers and builders

  • Comfortable with CRM tools, sales tracking, and pipeline reporting

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a bias toward action
