The Account Manager, Travel Medical Insurance will support and grow a portfolio of broker and distribution partners within the travel medical insurance business. This role will be responsible for managing mid-tier partner accounts, strengthening relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and serving as a key voice for partner needs across internal teams.

This is an opportunity to join a business in a transitional growth stage, where the right candidate will have meaningful autonomy over a portfolio of approximately 15-20 accounts and the ability to help shape how the role develops over time. The Account Manager will work closely with Sales, Business Analysis, Marketing, Operations, Product, and other internal teams to support partner success and drive profitable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned broker and distribution partners.
  • Build a strong understanding of each partner's business model, customer base, goals, and growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate performance, share insights, and develop growth initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to partners on product offerings, tools, processes, and industry updates.
  • Act as an internal advocate for partners, ensuring their feedback and needs are heard by the appropriate teams.

Account Growth & Development
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through product expansion, optimization, improved engagement, and new distribution strategies.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with business objectives and partner growth potential.
  • Track account performance using key metrics such as revenue, conversion, engagement, retention, and profitability.
  • Contribute ideas for growth beyond travel medical insurance where appropriate.
  • Help rebuild and grow partner relationships during a transitional period for the business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Business Analysis, Marketing, Operations, Product, Compliance, and Technology to support partner and business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sales-related projects tied to travel medical insurance.
  • Participate in internal projects that improve partner experience, account performance, or business processes.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and partner meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Required
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in account management, partner development, client service, sales support, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer, broker, partner, or agency relationships.
  • Proven ability to retain and grow existing business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Consultative, customer-focused approach to relationship management.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts at the same time.
  • Comfortable analyzing account performance and translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Preferred
  • Experience in travel medical insurance, accident and health, benefits, insurance, travel, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Experience working with brokers, insurance agencies, travel agencies, online travel agencies, aggregators, or international distribution partners.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Willingness to attend trade shows, conferences, and partner meetings as needed.

Team Environment

This role will join a small but growing account management function and collaborate regularly with Sales, Business Analysis, Marketing, and other teams across the organization. The broader sales team provides exposure to other areas of the business and opportunities to contribute to cross-functional projects.

Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required, generally up to 10%.
