Responsibilities

Join a growing team supporting employer Stop Loss programs and play a key role in delivering exceptional client and broker experiences.

As an Account Manager in our Stop Loss business, you’ll support the employer stop loss programs and partner closely with brokers, TPAs, and policyholders to manage the day-to-day administration of Stop Loss renewal accounts.  Reporting to the Director of Account Management, you’ll ensure a smooth experience from renewal through ongoing servicing.  In this role, you’ll own the renewal and ongoing servicing experience while working closely with internal teams to deliver seamless outcomes.

This position will be based in one of our offices:

  • Hamilton Square, NJ
  • Marlborough, MA
  • Harleysville, PA
  • West Hartford, CT

We offer hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

What you can expect:

  • Culture of innovation, teamwork, supportive colleagues and leaders willing to invest in talent
  • Internal mobility opportunities
  • Visibility to senior leaders and partnership with cross functional teams
  • Opportunity to impact change
  • Benefits – competitive compensation, paid time off, comprehensive wellness benefits and programs, employer funded health savings account, profit sharing, 401k, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase plan, tuition assistance and professional continuing education

We'll count on you to:

  • Act as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned Stop Loss renewal accounts
  • Manage the full renewal lifecycle from acceptance through policy issuance with accuracy and timelines
  • Coordinate with brokers, TPAs, and internal teams on compliance, licensing, paperwork, and reporting
  • Review and process implementation and renewal documentation, including premium and stop-loss remittance
  • Monitor premium collections, resolve discrepancies, and partner with internal teams for timely resolution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Underwriting, Claims, Policy Issuance, and Quality teams
  • Support Business Development and Sales efforts to ensure client satisfaction and retention

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel up to 10–15%

What makes you stand out:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in StopLoss, self-funding or group insurance
  • Proven client or account management experience
  • Prior Account Manager experience
  • Strong knowledge of Employer Stop Loss or self-funding
  • Presentation and broker-facing experience #clientrelationshipmanagement #EmployerStopLoss #self-funding
