Job Description - Account Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, client-focused, and results-oriented Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with clients while supporting account growth, retention, and overall business objectives.

The Account Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, understanding their needs, coordinating internal resources, resolving issues, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services. The ideal candidate combines excellent communication and relationship-management skills with strong business judgment, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with assigned clients and business accounts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and ongoing account needs.
  • Understand client objectives, requirements, challenges, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of products, services, and solutions.
  • Monitor account performance, client satisfaction, deliverables, and service commitments.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, renewals, upselling, and cross-selling where appropriate.
  • Prepare account updates, reports, presentations, proposals, and other client-facing materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records, contracts, communications, and documentation.
  • Address client concerns professionally and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
  • Track account activity, deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, finance, customer support, and other teams to support client success.
  • Analyze account performance and client feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support account planning, forecasting, and business-development initiatives.
  • Ensure client communications and deliverables align with company standards and brand expectations.
  • Stay informed about company products, services, industry developments, and competitive trends.
  • Contribute to customer-retention strategies and initiatives designed to strengthen long-term client relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in account management, customer success, client services, sales, business development, or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and CRM/account-management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing enterprise or strategic accounts.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of account planning, customer-retention strategies, and revenue-growth initiatives.
  • Experience preparing client presentations, proposals, and business reviews.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and account-performance reporting.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven, or customer-focused organization.

Work Environment

This position may be structured as a remote, hybrid, or onsite role, depending on organizational requirements. The Account Manager will regularly collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders through email, video conferencing, CRM platforms, and other business communication tools.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $65,000–$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and account-management expertise.

The compensation package may also include performance incentives, benefits, and other company-sponsored programs.

Reporting Structure

The Account Manager will report to the Account Director, Client Services Director, Sales Manager, or designated department leader and will work closely with sales, customer success, operations, marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams.
