Job Description - Account Manager

Proconex is the exclusive Emerson Impact Partner for Emerson Automation Solutions in the Mid-Atlantic region. We provide a full portfolio of Process Automation Control Systems, Valves and Control Devices, and related technologies and services to a range of customers—in the Life Sciences, Chemical, Power, Refining, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Paper, Metals, and other industries, as well as commercial enterprises and campus facilities. ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – OUTSIDE SALES

(Industrial Process Equipment / Instrumentation / Systems)

We are seeking new, motivated talent who have a desire to continue building a career in the area of sales and business development. Someone with experience and a genuine interest in supporting industrial sales, specifically the Emerson Valves and Equipment product line, who can work independently, would be best for this role. Please apply if you are interested in representing the Emerson product line in the field as we are the Emerson Impact Partner for the mid-Atlantic U.S, including eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and parts of New Jersey.

This role will be part of a dynamic industrial team based in Royersford, PA, but with outside sales mobility. The ideal candidate could be based anywhere in our footprint, but they must be able to visit our Royersford, PA and Swedesboro, NJ offices regularly for meetings. This role comes with a small customer base to get started, then the ideal candidates can grow from that, so there is a lot of potential.

Equipment/Sales Focus – Process Analysis/Measurement & Control Instrumentation, Control Valves, Isolation Valves, Pressure Relief Valves, Regulators and associated Field Services (repair, outage management, start-up support, etc.)
Reports To – Director of Industrial Sales
Territory – Based out of the home office in Royersford, PA. Will cover the entire Proconex Mid-Atlantic territory and will occasionally require overnight travel.
Training – Although Emerson technical training will be provided, the role will also be supported by internal subject matter experts for all product lines.
Schedule/Environment - Work will be performed Monday through Friday. Working conditions will range from professional office settings to outside industrial sites during all seasons of the year.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in industrial or technical sales
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or other related technical discipline
5-10 years' experience in the field with customer engagement
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Technical sales experience preferred but not essential
